Calaveras County Assessor
Leslie K. Davis, Assessor
On behalf of the Assessor's office staff, I would like to welcome you to our web page. This site was designed to provide quick, convenient access to general information about our office and the programs that we administer. Enhancing our service is a high priority and the Internet is another tool to accomplish this goal. I welcome your comments and suggestions, so please utilize this convenient link to contact me,

The Assessor is the elected official who is responsible for all assessment activities. The office staff locates, describes and values all taxable property. This information is maintained on the assessment roll. In addition, our office processes requests for exemptions, address changes and value changes as well as handling inquiries for property identification.

Our computer system will not be available for inquiry by anyone, including us, while we perform critical end of the year processes.

The system will be unavailable beginning on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 until we have completed the tasks.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Assessor Forms and Publications

Commonly requested Assessor forms are available on the
Forms and Publications page of this website.

Most of the forms that we use are designed by the State Board of Equalization and used by all 58 counties.  In order to save taxpayer money, the California County Assessors developed a way for you to access all of those forms easily.  Simply click on the link below, click on the outline of Calaveras County in the state map when the window opens and choose the form that you want to complete.

Here's the link:

2012 Assessment Practices Survey

The assessment practices survey program is one of the State's major efforts to promote uniformity, fairness, equity, and integrity in the assessment process. Under this program, the State Board of Equalization (BOE) periodically reviews every county assessor's office and publishes a report of its findings. These reports reflect the BOE's findings in its periodic surveys of the 58 county assessors' offices throughout the State.
